A host is defined as “a person who receives or entertains other people as guests”.Hosts are the first impression as guests come into the restaurant and explain our unique service style in a friendly, fun, and approachable manner. Hosts exemplify superior service and poise under pressure in their voice, words, and body language. Provide Anticipatory Service Assist with VIP guests on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Push and sell tables for groups and bottle service on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Create regulars and build dinner and late-night clientele. Smile, make eye contact, have good posture and a welcoming presence at the door. Manage and plan reservations. Maintain the seating chart and coordinate with management on seating rotation. Quote wait times and entertain guests while waiting. Write host schedule. Develop and train future hosts. Manage all host materials, headsets, menus, hard checks, etc. SCHEDULE: MONDAYS - OFF TUESDAYS - OFF WEDNESDAYS 5:00PM - 11:00PM THURSDAYS 5:30PM - 12:00AM FRIDAYS 5:30PM - 1:00AM SATURDAYS 5:30PM - 1:00AM SUNDAYS - OFF REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work well under intense time pressure Excellent emotional control in fast-paced environments Ability to take direction and work in a team environment. Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts Upbeat and energetic attitude Responsible and trustworthy Attention to detail Experience with Reservation Software.
